From what I can make out using vague memories of highschool german lessions, “We Must Do Something Now, we only have one planet”?
My personal view is that *I* must minimize *my* footprint on the earth and the damange I *personally* do to nature and more importantly, biological diversity. I am 28 years old and I never had - and probably never will have - a car. I am sometimes referred to as “that damn hippie”. I try to avoid buying anything that I do not need to survive. And I view the pricetag of products in both currency (What I have to pay) and the price of the damage and footprint the product has on the earth. I do this because of the off-change that other people may do the same and that my actions may slightly increase the chance that there will be more biological diversity on this planet than cats and rats four generations from now. But I - honestly - don’t have any long-term (as in generations, not years) hope for anyone or any living species on this planet.
